The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) came into force in 2020 and heralded in a number of rights which were designed to protect the privacy of California consumers. Rights such as right to delete, opt-out of information being used by 3rd parties and others. The CCPA is enforced by the California OAG (Office of Attorney General) and has been further ammended by the CPRA (California Privacy Rights Act)
