What is it?
In June 2021, the EU implemented new Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal data to third countries. The new SCCs take into account the Schrems IIÂ decision, and incorporate the obligatory contractual rights and obligations of controllers and processors under Article 28(3) and (4) of the GDPR. The SCCs also cater for four different transfer scenarios including, for the first time, processor to processor transfers, and processor to controller transfers. The documents enclosed, included an official SCC document, Annex and Q/A’s to help organizations implement 3rd country transfers.
